MEET OUR EPIC TEAM

Our Staff: Meet the Team

DANIELLE MEAGOR

Director/Registered Manager

I'm Dani and the very proud co-owner and Registered Manager of EPIC Homecare.  I am a local lady, born and bred and very fond of the community I was raised in, here in Brixham.  In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my Husband and our two children, taking time out to walk our beautiful coast and countryside.   I am kind and caring and enjoying working in the community helping and supporting our clients to feel safe and confident living in their own homes.
Previously, I worked in the NHS for 20 years gaining experience in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Social Care.  I gained lots of experience within these roles to enable me to complete a Foundation Degree in Healthcare Practice.  I bring years of experience working with people with long term conditions such as dementia, stroke, Parkinson’s, MS, epilepsy, terminal illness, falls, frailty and sensory impairment.

JULIA HORTON

Director/ Deputy Manager

I have lived in Brixham most of my life and have very fond memories growing up and being part of Brixham`s lovely community.  Therefore, I feel very privileged to be able to co-own EPIC Homecare and provide the very best of care for people in their own homes and to promote their independence.  I now have a family of my own and enjoy nothing more than long coastal walks with our dog, and regularly watch my Son’s compete in rugby and swimming.

I became a Domiciliary Care Worker 12 years ago and gained experience and training which broadened my knowledge and understanding.  Whilst working as a Domiciliary Care Worker, I had a second job at a local care home for adults with physical disabilities, gaining knowledge and experience regarding different mobility and communication needs.
I have completed an NVQ2 and NVQ3 in Health and Social Care, plus additional training courses on Falls Awareness, Dementia Care, Mental Capacity Act, Pressure Area Care, Epilepsy and Basic First Aid.
I bring years of experience working with people with complex conditions such as mental health, dementia, stroke, Parkinson’s, MS, paralysis, epilepsy, terminal illness, falls, frailty and sensory impairment.
